The Brief
The Brief
Lifestyle Automobiles is a luxury pre-owned car dealership based in Kolkata, existing for over a decade. In mid-2024, they prepared to expand to new showrooms across the city and wanted to build a stronger digital presence This led to them reaching out to us for a brand identity revamp and ideas on scale.
The goal: modernize the brand while staying true to its roots, and bring in consistency across every touchpoint.

The Challenge
The Challenge
The company had never revisited its brand identity since its early days. The logo was designed in haste, and the absence of a brand guideline meant inconsistent use of fonts, colors, and visual elements across their website, app, and marketing material. The team itself was slightly scattered in their approach, which meant sometimes they didn’t even speak the same language or make cohesive decisions.
As Lifestyle Automobiles prepared to scale, this inconsistency became a critical gap. What they needed was more than a design refresh, they needed a brand system that matched their ambition. And the added challenge here - the founder running a typical family-owned business which meant the conviction on trying something new would require a super hard sell from our side.

The Approach
The Approach
We approached this project in a super lean setup — with a single brand strategist (client-facing and research-led) and one experienced senior (motorhead) designer (execution and visual direction).
Being a traditional business, this was not one where we could have weekly Google Meet syncs. A bunch of phone calls and multiple flights to Kolkata for in-person conversations finally led to us creating a set of options for the logo revamp. The entire process took time, and by the end of it - we did end up sticking to the existing logo but here is why it is still a success story:

“Thank you, at least after this exercise and exploring so many different angles I am now completely convinced that this is the logo we should stick to. So at least, I won’t question it again and the process has given me the reassurance and validation I needed, so thank you for your patience in working through this”

We didn’t change the logo, but we walked away with a happy client. Our design effort went into
Logo Consistency: Fixing ratios of height, width and spacing while standardising the exact hex codes and fonts to be used across app, social media & physical assets. Seemingly trivial but critical decisions were made on - is it Lifestyle Automobiles or lifestyle automobiles or lifestyleauto.

Merchandise & Marketing Assets: Using the brand system, we created merchandise that they loved from T-Shirts, to visiting cards, bottles and even designed a custom wrapping paper for the gifts given to customers.
Website & App: In classic TPC style, we also got extensively involved in improving the functionality as well as look & feel of both the website and app where the cars would be listed

Design Collaboration: We worked closely with graphic designer Himanshu Sharma, who brought in refined design aesthetics, technicalities around standardising the branding and also his passion for cars to really give this brand the facelift it needed.

The result was a premium and consistent brand identity, designed to scale and not to be revisited or questioned again for some time. With a unified voice and visual system, Lifestyle Automobiles is now well-positioned to grow across locations without losing what makes the brand distinct.
