The Brief

The Brief

Manasi Doshi is a multidisciplinary designer with a decade of experience and a strong portfolio of creative work. In 2024, she was preparing to transition from working as a solo freelancer to launching her own studio under a new label — Studio Manasi Doshi.

Her goal was clear: build a strong personal brand, set the foundation for consistent marketing, and create clarity on how to show up across channels — both as an individual and as a soon-to-be studio.

The Challenge

The Challenge

This was a brand with ambition and depth — but also a few early hurdles.

Manasi was camera-shy, but wanted to establish a strong online presence. She had excellent case studies, but wasn’t sure how to frame or present them. And midway through the engagement, we realised we were sinking too deep into content creation without anchoring it in strategy.

Resetting expectations, revisiting the scope, and re-centering the work around marketing strategy was an important (and slightly tough) conversation — but one that set the tone for the rest of the project.

The Approach

The Approach

We kicked things off with a brand concept note — arguably one of our favourite ones so far. It laid the foundation for how Studio Manasi Doshi would sound, look, and feel — across every touchpoint.

From there, we built the core of the marketing foundation:

  • Channel Strategy
We started from zero — which platforms are worth investing in, and why. Then we defined audiences, objectives, and tones for each: Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

  • Theme Development & Content Planning
Created separate content buckets for each channel — from thought-leadership and behind-the-scenes, to client stories and personal voice. Every platform had a distinct structure that tied back to the brand’s core.

  • 90-Day Content Calendar
We built a 3-month calendar that included exact topics for each post, clear briefs, and initial creative samples. The idea was to make it easy for Manasi to get started — without second guessing what to post.

  • One-Pagers & Starter Guides
To avoid overwhelm, we created simple, actionable one-pagers on topics like Google for Business, Performance Marketing, SEO, and Community Engagement. These acted as launchpads — not full-blown playbooks.

  • Website SEO
We brought in Ayushi Jha to help improve the website’s SEO performance — ensuring the foundations were in place for organic discovery.

At every step, we stayed focused on balance — supporting without overwhelming, guiding without dictating.

The Outcome

The Outcome

By the end of the engagement, Manasi had a clear view of her brand, a well-defined marketing plan, and the creative tools to show up online with confidence.

The content calendar gave her a structured launchpad. The channel strategy gave her clarity on what to prioritise (and what to pause). And the concept note became her brand’s north star — grounding the transition from freelancer to founder.

What’s Next?

We’re now watching from the sidelines as Studio Manasi Doshi launches and grows. The brand is taking its first steps into the world — with a clear voice, a strong point of view, and a system that can evolve as the studio does. Best brand concept note. Cleanest channel strategy. A great example of what thoughtful brand-building looks like at the very beginning.
